In a noble gesture, Vidarbha captain Faiz Fazal announced that the entire prize money of Irani Cup will be donated to the families of the CRPF personnel martyred in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday.

"Our heart goes to victims of the terrorist attack. As a small gesture from our side we dedicate this victory to the martyrs of Pulwama attack. The Vidarbha cricket team will donate the entire prize money to the families of the victims in the attack," Fazal said.

The Ranji champions Vidarbha reasserted its supremacy by beating Rest of India to retain the Irani Cup. It also became the third team after Mumbai and Karnataka to clinch two successive Irani Cup titles.
