Skipper Virat Kohli was on the prowl again, reaching his 16th Test hundred and still unbeaten.

Mehedi Hasan (centre) celebrates after getting rid of Cheteshwar Pujara for 83. Bangladesh could manage only three wickets on a day that was dominated by India.

A score of school kids, who had turned up to watch the first day's play, enjoyed India's fine batting display, which included two centuries.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who fell short of a hundred by 17 runs, bettered Chandu Borde's five-decade-old national record of most runs by an Indian in a single season.

There weren't many reasons to celebrate for this colourful Bangladeshi fan as India piled on the runs.
