For the first time in IPL history, cricketers from the nine new states — Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Puducherry — in the BCCI calendar have registered.The registrations closed on Tuesday, and the deadline for the franchises to submit a shortlist of players is December 10, 5 pm.As the tournament prepares to enter its 12th edition, Hugh Edmeades, an independent fine art, classic car and charity auctioneer will be the new gavel master.
