RCB v KKR Star Wars: Yuzvendra Chahal v Sunil Narine

Chahal, owing to his tight economy in the last two games, remains a threat; Narine will be the key for Knight Riders for his all-round abilities.

Twenty20 cricket is known for batters, the Indian Premier League endorses big hitters; but on Sunday, when Royal Challengers Bangalore takes on Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, all eyes will be on spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Sunil Narine.

Despite losses, leg-spinner Chahal has been an asset to RCB. On the other hand, Narine — a mix of clean hitting at the top to subtle finger tweaks (eight wickets in seven games) with the leather — is one of the go-to guys for skipper Dinesh Karthik. The Caribbean also smashed his second IPL half-century (50 off 19 balls) in the first game against the same opponent.

This season, Chahal has been economical with seven wickets in six games. In fact, Chennai Super Kings opener Ambati Rayudu — who scored a match-winning 53-ball 82 against RCB last week — revealed that CSK wanted to play out Chahal amid the assault on other bowlers.
