  • Our correspondent from Palam updates:Hyderabad's openers Akshath Reddy and Tanmay Agarwal have begun their chase confidently. Spin was introduced in the third over itself suggesting the  slowness of the track; the low total on the board may also have prompted Raina to bring in the spinners this early.

It made no difference. Runs were obtained without much fuss and Tanmay even indulged in a couple of sweet drives, one through cover for a boundary and the other through extra cover for three.

After six overs, it's 33/0, at lunch.

Left-arm spinner Mehdi Hasan precipitates a collapse as up is quickly bowled out for 130.

Raina and shiva Singh looked confident in the middle before Hasan bamboozled shiva. The batsman had played a nonchalant reverse sweep the ball before. Then he tried to cut Hasan late and the ball sneaked through to disturb the furniture.

Raina's dismissal was also against the run of play. He paid the price of trying to play another belligerent stroke. He sliced siraj straight down the throat of deep cover, departing for 53.

  • Our correspondent from Palam updates: With a grafting, well-paced half-century, Suresh Raina has held his team's innings together. After surviving a tough period against the spinners, he opened up, targeting part-time spinner K. Rohit Rayudu. Rayudu was carted for a six and a four through mid-wicket, both stylish slog sweeps.

Hyderabad made a few bowling changes in this period. Mohammed Siraj was brought back for one over, while B. Sandeep, another part-time spinner, bowled three.

It allowed Raina and his partner Rinku Singh to breathe easy for a while. The jitters, judging from the body language, have gone away.

Spinners are in operation early, and Upendra Yadav and Priyam Garg have looked suspect early against the spinners - Mehdy Hasan and Akash Bhandari.
