Ever since Mahendra Singh Dhoni arrived in Chennai for the first ODI against Australia last week, there were speculations on whether the erstwhile skipper would meet former BCCI boss N. Srinivasan.

While all kept on guessing, Dhoni — maintaining his reputation — met Srinivasan at the headquarters of India Cements a day before the match, all too silently.

The news only got spread a few days back after the India Cements put up pictures from the visit on its Facebook page.

The social media was abuzz with speculations over Dhoni’s visit. There were questions on whether Srinavasan and he spoke about the Chennai Super Kings’ return to the Indian Premier League?

Though there’s no word from either of the sides, sources in know of things, confirmed to Sportstar that it was just a normal visit by Dhoni, who also happens to be an employee with the India Cements. “It was a normal courtesy visit. Since he was in Chennai, he wanted to come and meet the people,” the source said.
