The Premier League returns with its third round of fixtures with defending champion Manchester City currently topping the table.

The main focus of Matchday 3 is the clash between bitter-rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. Erik Ten Hag has had a horrible start as Man United manager with two defeats in his first two leagues including the 4-0 humiliation at Brentford last week. While Liverpool’s start has been better, Jurgen Klopp’s team is still yet to win its first match of the season after drawing its first two games.

Also, Liverpool will be missing the services of Darwin Nunez who has been handed a three-match suspension after getting a red card in the match against Crystal Palace for headbutting Joachim Anderson. United is at the bottom of the table heading into matchday 4 while Liverpool sits on 12th.

Manchester City will play Newcastle United at its home, St James Park. City has had a great start to its title defence, winning both its matches and will most likely make it three on the trot against the Magpies.

Chelsea will start as favourites against Leeds United. After being involved in a fiery London Derby where it turned ugly due to manager Thomas Tuchel clashing with Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, the Blues will look to return to winning ways after drawing 2-2 against Spurs.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will miss the match after getting handed a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association (FA) after a confrontation with Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte at the end of Sunday’s heated Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham Hotspur snatched a point against Chelsea after Harry Kane scored a late header last week. It will hope to keep its unbeaten run going in the new season and bag three points against Wolves, which recently signed Portuguese international midfielder Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon at a club record fee of around 38 million pounds. Spurs will miss Cristian Romero after he picked up a muscle problem following their match against Chelsea, manager Antonio Conte said on Thursday.

Conte was fined 15,000 pounds was for his post-match spat with Tuchel post the 2-2 draw between Tottenham and Chelsea.

Arsenal has started its campaign in style winning both of its league matches till now. With the form Mikel Arteta’s team is showing, a win against AFC Bournemouth can be expected as the Gunners look to make it nine points in three matches.
