Khalid Boutaib put Morocco ahead in the 14th minute with a calm finish through the legs of David De Gea after pouncing on a mistake by Sergio Ramos near the halfway line. The lead lasted only five minutes, with Spain equalising through Isco in the 19th minute.

Isco lashed home from close range after receiving a pass from Andres Iniesta. Isco's 19th-minute goal pulled Spain level for the first time on the night, after Morocco had taken the lead through Khalid Boutaib.

Youssef En-Nesyri rose above Sergio Ramos to head home Morocco's second goal, leaving David de Gea flat-footed. With only nine minutes of the 90' left to play, Morocco seemed to be heading for a win in its last World Cup match.

Sergio Ramos had a night to forget, being at fault for both of Morocco's goals with lackluster defending, once from open play and once while defending a corner.

Youssef En-Nesyri wheels off in celebration after heading Morocco ahead for the second time on the night, rising above Sergio Ramos and connecting with a Faycal Fajr corner. Morocco was ahead with nine minutes of the 90' to play.

David de Gea looks on dejectedly after Youssef En-Neysri scored Morocco's second goal, rising above Sergio Ramos, with a thumping header. With nine minutes to play, Morocco was headed for a win, but an improvised finish from Iago Aspas in the first minute of stoppage time gave Spain a point in the last Group B fixture.

The Morocco players appealed for off-side soon after Iago Aspas had pulled Spain level with an improvised finish on 91 minutes. The line umpire's decision was reviewed by the VAR, which correctly awarded Aspas and Spain a second equaliser on the night, denying Morocco what will have been a landmark win over one of the tournament favourites.
