I-League: Chennai city signs Katsumi Yusa

I-League champion Chennai City FC has completed the signing of Japanese attacking midfielder Katsumi Yusa for the 2019-20 season.

The 30-year-old will also fulfill Chennai City's Asian foreign player quota for its AFC Cup and AFC Champions League competitions next season.

Yusa is no stranger to Indian football having previously played for Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, winning the I-League with the former in 2015. He was a free agent after his one-year spell with NEROCA FC.

He also played in the Indian Super League in 2016 for NorthEast United FC.
