LIVE UPDATES:

- That was all from my end. Thanks for joining me and stick around for our post-match thoughts on our podcast, 'The Full Time Show'.

Full time: Bengaluru 3-0 Odisha: The Blues score three past Odisha as Brown, Bheke and Chhetri get on the scoresheet. A clean sheet for Gurpreet and three points for Cuadrat and Co. BFC is now on top of ISL standings. Odisha's four-match winning run has come to an end.

90+3' - Bora and Paartalu indulge in a fight but the referee breaks it up. Just a minute remaining here, no need for scuffles.

90+2' - Nishu blocks Guedes' cross from the right after Manchong, from the other end, found him with a pass.

90+2' - Paartalu is taking a goal-kick...the Australian is doing everything tonight!

90' - Three minutes have been added on. Can Odisha ruin Gurpreet's clean sheet here? Odisha has three minutes to cause any trouble.

88' - Juanan sends the shot over the bar after an attempt from close range following a corner-kick for the host. It is still 3-0 in favour of BFC.

84' - From the right, Udanta crosses the ball into the box, which rolls into the path of Chhetri. Chhetri strikes but Arshdeep is not tested. Meanwhile, Kean is warming up to come on. Wangjam has seemed to have injured himself.

82' - Chhetri falls into the Odisha box and he demands a penalty-kick. The referee is unimpressed and books him for it. The replay however shows Dhot did have some contact with Chhetri although the BFC favourite played it out dramatically.

79' - Dimas runs into Delgado to win a free-kick just outside the box. Chhetri takes the set piece and sends it over the Odisha wall. But Arshdeep, between the sticks, punches it out. Delgado was earlier booked for the foul.

77' - Bengaluru fans have begun the celebrations early. They seem to be bouncing in joy, enjoying the 3-0 score line!

73' - Ashique and Udanta now try to build something from the right side but nothing comes off it. Odisha has had a tough day today: three goals conceded, none scored. Over 15 minutes remaining.

67' - Bengaluru looks all but set for a win today evening. The three points will take the Blues to the top of the table. However, second and third placed Goa and ATK have a game in hand each.

64' - SAVE! Arshdeep saves Udanta's shot through his legs after Ashique created havoc from the left wing with his pace and cross.

63' - Sarangi has been brought off to introduce Dhot in defence.

61' - GOAL! Sunil Chhetri makes it 3-0 for BFC. His right-footed shot is aimed for the top left corner and he gets it into the net. The Bengaluru talisman now has nine goals, level with Santana, who is sadly simply watching the game from the bench.

60' - Penalty! Guedes is booked. He brings down Paartalu in the box when BFC takes a corner-kick. It's just getting worse for the Odisha side.

57' - Second change for Bengaluru: Brown makes way for Ashique! The goal scorer walks off to an applause from the BFC faithful.

56' - With goal in his sight, Brown shoots wide! Nonetheless, he has been very active today for Bengaluru in attack. Quite the first start you would want.

52' - ALMOST! Brown gets the better of two defenders and he takes a left-shooted shot, which goes inches away of the goal!

50' - Bheke is brought off as Bengaluru makes its first change. Nishu walks in.

49' - That's almost a second for Brown! A long ball falls to him and he is off balance as he tries to get his shot on goal.

46' - We are back for the second half and Odisha with some early possession.

Half time: Bengaluru 2-0 Odisha - Goals from Brown (23') and Bheke (25') -- both from set pieces -- keeps Bengaluru in the lead at the break.

45+1' - A minute has been added on. BFC has a set-piece again. It's a free-kick from afar but it's Chhetri on it. The Indian skipper leaves it for Paartalu but the Australian shoots it into an Odisha defender. That is all from this half.

45' - OFF THE POST! Guedes' shot bounces off the post after Xisco headed it down for him at the far post. It all started from a corner-kick for Odisha. Meanwhile, Sarangi picks a yellow, which is his fourth of the season -- that means he will miss the next game.

43' - Stats show that Odisha has had 59% of ball possession as opposed to Bengaluru's 41%. BFC has been happy to let Odisha have more of the ball while the Blues attack on the counter and via set pieces.

40' - Just five minutes pending in this half. Odisha seems to be struggling after losing two key players in Tebar and Santana. The camera pans towards Santana on the bench, who seems to indicate feeling pain in his left foot.

36' - Khabra picks up a yellow for a foul. Odisha is awarded a free-kick, which is taken by Xisco. The ball played into the box is perfect, but Odisha's Guedes is flagged offside just as Gurpreet comes off his line to punch it too.

34' - A bit of drama here as something sparks a fight between Dimas and Santana. Santana looks annoyed by the Bengaluru midfielder's words and the players from both sides have to intervene to break up the fight. After about a minute or two wasted, Santana finally walks off.

33' - Oh oh, a double change already! Odisha's Tebar and Santana are off. Diagne and Manchong will replace the two players. Seems like the Odisha boys were dealing with a niggle.

30' - Santana's header from the box goes wide as Odisha tries to buck up. Conceding two goals in two minutes has put Odisha on the backfoot here. Can the visiting side bridge the deficit soon? 15 minutes of regulation time pending in the first half.

25' - GOAL! Rahul Bheke doubles Bengaluru's lead! It's a goal from a set-piece again as Udanta's ball from the corner is volleyed by Paartalu towards Bheke, who flicks it into the net! Bengaluru 2-0 Odisha.

23' - GOAL! Deshorn Brown gets his maiden goal on his first start for Bengaluru! Odisha concedes from a free-kick as Dimas' delivery from the set-piece is headed down by Paartalu into the path for Brown. Brown sticks out his foot which deflects the goal into the net, beyond Arshdeep. Bengaluru 1-0 Odisha.

22' - Play resumes. Meanwhile, Tebar gets treatment from the physios, who apply 'the magic spray' (as they say!) to his left knee. Tebar will continue playing.

21' - Paartalu with a solid challenge on Tebar and the Odisha man seems to be in pain. Play is paused.

20' - Chhetri collides with Sarangi in the Odisha box as he tries to run towards the cross played in there by Paartalu. He tumbles and goes to the ground, and the attack comes to an end.

17' - A great cross from Narayan is followed by a shot on target by Guedes but Gurpreet collects it. Suddenly, the two teams have charged up their attacks.

15' - MISSED! Brown misses a tap-in from an Udanta cross. Gurpreet's goalkick was let loose by Narayan, as his clearance ricocheted off Udanta. The winger's cross for Brown in the box was perfect but Brown missed the target from 8 yards out! That should have ideally been 1-0 for BFC.

9' - Bengaluru builds from the back and Khabra's cross lands in the opposition box. Brown rushes to get his head to it but Arshdeep comes out to palm away the ball.

7' - Bora gives away the ball which lets Bengaluru attack. The BFC midfield almost finds Chhetri in the Odisha box but the Indian skipper loses balances as he gets to the ground.

5' - It seems Odisha is trying to make the most of the width of the field. The backline is trying to find its wingers outwide with long balls.

3' - OVER! Bora gets his head to a delivery from Xisco from free-kick, but his header goes over the bar! The former Chennai City player can't believe how he missed it.

1' - Early attack from Bengaluru! Winger Udanta rushes in from the right flank but Tebar clears it. Brown, who makes his first BFC start today, combined with his attackers.

1' - Kick-off! The action begins at the Kanteerava stadium.

- Three changes for Bengaluru and Odisha each tonight. For BFC: Ashique, Onwu and Nishu are replaced by Wangjam, Brown and Khabra. As for Odisha, Nandhakumar, Vinit and Dorronsoro are replaced by Lalhimpuia, Guedes and Arshdeep.

Match preview

A stuttering Bengaluru FC will face a stiff challenge from the high-flying Odisha FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium today. The reigning Indian Super League champion is coming off a 2-0 defeat away to Mumbai City FC, the same opponent which snapped BFC’s unbeaten home run of nearly two years, last month.

On the other hand, Josep Gombau’s Odisha, powered by Aridane Santana’s league-topping nine goals, is on a four-match winning streak that has catapulted the side to fourth in the table with 21 points. Odisha will miss the midfield duo of Vinit Rai (suspension) and Nandhakumar Sekar (hamstring injury), both sure-shot starters, but will certainly fancy a win that can help it surge past BFC (22 points).

“Four wins in four is good,” said Gombau on the eve of the match. “But BFC are a top team, one of the best in the competition. If they score first, it is difficult to come back as they don’t concede many goals.”

"They [BFC] are playing a bit more directly than before. Last year I saw a lot more combinations. But it is important not to change our game plan, not to think that we are playing away and be brave to play out from the back. One thing we should ensure is to not give away silly set-pieces.”

BFC head coach Carles Cuadrat conceded that his outfit may not have the lion’s share of the ball. Raphael Augusto’s midfield creativity will be missed for the fourth straight game because of a knee injury. But Cuadrat was confident that his wards were well equipped to hurt opponents.

“We may end up having less possession, but at the same time we play the transitions well and can take advantage of situations like set-pieces,” said the Catalan.

“We only have 15 points to play [for the rest of the season]. Odisha is coming off a good performance. [But] we have also had very good performances at home. We lost only to Mumbai. Rest of the matches we have been very intense and we will fight for three points again.”
