FC Pune City has roped in Argentinean midfielder Robertino Pugliara to further stregthnen its attacking line. The 33-year-old will become the fifth South American to represent the club after the likes of Emiliano Alfaro, Marcelinho, Diego Carlos and Jonatan Lucca.

Robertino began his career with San Lorenzo and his most successful stint was at Persija Jakarta, where he was part of the squad that won the Trofeo Persija for two consecutive years (2011 & 2012).

He also played for other Indonesian clubs like Persiba Balikpapan, PSM Makassar, Persib Bandung and Persipura Jayapura. While representing Persipura Jayapura, he scored a match-winning brace against Bengaluru FC in AFC Cup in 2015.

After his signing, Robertino said, “Having played in Indonesia for most of my career, adapting to a new culture, new style will be a challenge I will relish. I have seen one of the top Indian players during my AFC matches and I was very impressed with the quality. I am looking forward to play against some of the best Indian talents donning the Orange and Purple in 2017-18 Indian Super League."
