Rickie Fowler says he is excited to represent USA at the Olympics.

Despite numerous golfers pulling out of the Olympics in Rio due to concerns over the Zika virus, Rickie Fowler has become the latest to commit to playing in Brazil.

Golf is returning to the Games after a 112-year absence, but a number of the sport's leading stars will not be present due to concerns over the mosquito-borne virus, which has been linked to birth defects.

Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy - world number one, two, three and four respectively - have all withdrawn from the competition.

However, after Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson this week affirmed their commitment to competing in Rio, American Fowler has followed suit by pledging his intention via his official Twitter account.
