Manpreet Singh, member of the Paris Olympics bronze medal-winning Indian squad, will play for Team Gonasika in the Hockey India League 2024-25 season.
Team Gonasika, the Visakhapatnam franchise, bought the midfielder for Rs 42 lakh.
Manpreet, one of the most experienced members of the Indian squad, led the team to the bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The player from Mithapur village on the outskirts of Jalandhar in Punjab made his debut at the age of 19. He represented India at the 2012 Olympics and was named Asia’s Junior Player of the Year in 2014.
At the 2014 and 2022 Asian Games, he was part of the Indian team that won the gold medal. At the 2017 Asia Cup, he was instrumental in India claiming a gold.
