Anup to lead Jaipur Pink Panthers

Jaipur Pink Panthers has been training at the Sathyabama University in Chennai since August 28, and will remain in the city till the end of the Chennai leg (October 11).

Jaipur Pink Panthers has announced Anup Kumar as its captain for the upcoming season of the Pro Kabaddi League, beginning in Chennai on October 7. 

Srinivas Reddy, head coach of Panthers, who headed the Indian team at the Kabaddi Masters in Dubai, said: “Anup has all the experience to lead a team and has done so successfully at Pro Kabaddi and Kabaddi World Cup 2016. We and the management were eyeing Anup [Kumar] during the auctions as he is an ideal leader that a kabaddi team can have.”

Captain Anup said: "We will aim at lifting up the trophy this season! With Mohit
Chhillar, Deepak Hooda, Nitin Rawal, Selvamani, Bajirao Hodage and others being a part of the team, the squad looks perfect with equal amount of strategical experience and young agility.”
