Summary: Pardeep Narwal was once again the hero for UP Yoddha as it beat Dabang Delhi K.C. 44-28. The “record breaker” scored a Super 10 (14 points) as UP controlled the match from the beginning to the end. The win helped Yoddha climb to third on the table with a match remaining in their league stage. They are now firm favourites for a slot in the playoff stages. Delhi missed out on an opportunity to go closer to a top two finish with the loss. It will also be sweating about Naveen Kumar’s fitness after the star raider picked up an injury in the first half.
28-44: Final raid of the match, Ashu Singh goes for the advanced tackle on Vijay and gifts the touch point. It does not matter though as UP Yoddha beats Dabang Delhi 44-28 to climb to third!!!
27-44: Pardeep picks up a bonus.
27-43: Well executed dubki by Neeraj and he deceives Shubham to reach the mid-line.
26-43: ALL OUT!!! Bonus for Vijay but then the UP defence is onto him as soon as he tries for the touch point.
25-40: Excellent performance from Pardeep. He gets a touch point on a helpless Krishan Dhull and reduces Delhi to one.
25-39: Neeraj Narwal picks up a bonus.
24-39: Do-or-die raid for Pardeep but he is in such form now that even the likes of Sandeep Narwal can't stop him.
Final strategic time out. Five minutes to go and UP leads Delhi 37-24.
24-36: Pardeep picks his man again. Another unsuccessful tackle from Manjeet Chhillar.
24-35: Vijay picks up a bonus.
23-33:ALL OUT!!!! Vijay Malik picks up a bonus but nothing more. UP Yoddha has well and truly got a tight grip on this match.
22-30:SUPER 10 FOR PARDEEP as Manjeet's solo tackle is not enough to stop him from reaching the mid-line. Good effort though.
First strategic time out. Ten minutes to go.
21-29: Delhi has been reduced to two men after another typical error from Manjeet Chhillar. Ninth raid point for Pardeep.
21-27: Manjeet picks up a bonus.
20-27: Shrikant Jadhav goes in for the raid, Sandeep Narwal steps out of bounds at the back but raider Manjeet takes down Shrikant on his own for a SUPER TACKLE!!!!
18-26: First raid of the night for Ashu Malik and he walks straight into Nitesh Kumar's block.
18-25: Careless mistake from Pardeep as he tries to get a touch on Sandeep on the right corner but steps into the lobbies in the process.
17-25: Wow!! A stunning running back kick by raider Manjeet and he claims a touch on Surender despite the UP defence denying it. The decision goes in Delhi's favour. UP Yoddha has used its review saying that the raider should be ruled self-out since he entered the lobbies without a touch but it is an unsuccessful review.
16-23: Joginder Narwal goes for the ankle hold on Surender but it was too weak. Touch point won.
16-22: Substitute raider Manjeet with a moment of magic gets touch point off Sumit.
15-22: Pardeep Narwal with a multi-point raid. He was trapped in the ankle hold by Manjeet's block came a little too late and the raider reached the mid-line.
14-20: Reckless back hold attempted by Sandeep and Pardeep easily makes it to mid-line.
14-19: Vijay picks up a bonus.
13-19: Pardeep picks up a bonus.
13-18: This is some start to the second half. Vijay went in for the raid and was almost pushed off the mat by Shubham but Shubham had his foot on the mid-line which saved Vijay.
HALF-TIME: Dabang Delhi K.C. 12-18 UP Yoddha
12-18: ALL OUT!!! Final raid of the first half, Sandeep Narwal goes in and picks the bonus on offer but then gets pushed off the mat.
11-15: Do-or-die raid for UP, Pardeep goes in with two Delhi players on the mat and the error comes from Ashu Malik.
11-14: Do-or-die raid for Delhi, Vijay takes the responsibility but manages to do nothing as the UP defence blocks him easily.
11-13: Messy. Pardeep went in for the raid and stepped into the lobbies without a touch. He gets a self-out but unfortunately, Manjeet, Krishan and Joginder have followed him and they too have been ruled self-out. Initially, two Delhi defenders had been ruled self-out but Manjeet went for the review asking for a Super Tackle. Not only did Delhi lose its review, it cost the side one more player.
10-10: Naveen flat on the mat courtesy of a beautiful assist in defence from Surender.
10-9: Do-or-die raid for Shrikant, Delhi's defence makes him impatient and eventually Sandeep and Joginder mob him.
9-9: Vijay picks up a bonus.
8-9: Lovely twist and turn by Vijay to go past Sumit's double ankle hold.
7-9: Brilliant work by Pardeep who uses his backtracking skills to fool Manjeet and Naveen.
7-7: Shrikant Jadhav goes in for the raid, looks for the options on the left and then runs to the right where Joginder was waiting with the thigh hold.
6-7: Surender? Okay. The raider tried to contribute in defense but instead will walk to the bench courtesy of a failed tackle on Vijay.
5-7: Error from Krishan Dhull who goes for the advanced tackle on Shrikant Jadhav and fails.
5-6: Tight ankle hold by Sumit on the left corner and who does he get? Naveen Kumar!
5-5: Diving double ankle hold by Nitesh Kumar and another Narwal goes down. Unsuccessful raid for Neeraj.
5-4: Brutal block by Sandeep and again tackles Pardeep successfully. Beast mode!
4-4: Shrikant Jadhav tries for the running hand touch on the left corner, misses it and enter the lobbies. Another self-out.
3-4: Neeraj Narwal goes in for the raid and runs into the lobbies without a touch. Self-out.
3-3: Excellent thigh hold by Krishan Dhull on the right corner to take down Pardeep Narwal on his own.
2-3: Shrikant Jadhav begins the match with a quick running hand touch on Manjeet Chhillar.
2-2: Another bonus for Surender.
2-1: Do-or-die raid for Delhi, birthday boy Naveen Kumar goes in and picks up a bonus.

Dabang Delhi snapped its three-game winless run with a narrow 32-31 win over the Tamil Thalaivas in their previous outing. Naveen Kumar starred yet again for Delhi, as he picked up 13 points to guide his side to a much-needed win. Delhi is second on the points table, but hasn’t had a convincing performance in quiet some time. It has scored only 34 tackle points in its last four matches and has heavily relied on its offence to lead it to victories. With Haryana right on its heels on the points table, Delhi needs to continue its winning ways to ensure it finishes in the top two.
UP Yoddha suffered a disappointing 38-31 defeat against the Gujarat Giants last night. Pardeep Narwal’s sparkling form continued as the raider picked up 12 points, but he couldn’t prevent U.P. from losing. His team now faces the risk of dropping out of the top six if the three teams below it win their games in hand. The game on Monday will be U.P.’s penultimate of the league stage. Defeat would likely end its hopes of making it to the playoffs, making this a must-win game for coach Jasveer Singh’s men.
