PKL 2019, As it happened: Warriors roll over Paltan, Pirates egde out Thalaivas

40' BW 43-23 PP: Nabibakhsh makes another successful raid and that's the game! What a smashing win from Bengal Warriors! Maninder Singh was the star player on the night with 14 points! Much to ponder for Puneri Paltan which has now lost all its three matches...

40' BW 42-21 PP: No escape! Sukesh Hegde is denied a way back to his court.

28' BW 33-11 PP: Nabibakhsh says he has got three touches! Referee says only two... Just one left on the court for Paltan now. Warriors' review is successful! That's another all-out! 

27' BW 27-11 PP: Simple for Maninder. Evades the ankle grab, skips and rolls away to get his point.

25' BW 26-11 PP: Grabbed and pulled back in! Rinku Narwal from the left comes in and makes a surprise tackle on Pankaj!

24' BW 24-11 PP: Not second time lucky for Sushant as he is piled upon by the Warriors. It's another all-out inflicted on Paltan !

22' BW 20-10 PP: A quick feint before a flying hand touch by Sushant!

21' BW 19-9 PP: Maninder makes a successful do-or-die raid.

SECOND HALF

20' BW 18-9 PP: Pawan Kadian was desperate for some points before the end of the half but he is unsuccessful in doing so. That's the end of the first half! One-way traffic so far as Maninder Singh has starred for Warriors with 7 raid points.

18' BW 17-9 PP: Super tackle on the right corner for Paltan!

17' BW 17-7 PP: Manjeet is hauled down on the left channel...

16' BW 16-7 PP: Do-or-die raid and Warriors' Maninder gets through to the half court on the dive! Another Super raid for him in the game! Two touches and three points.

16' BW 13-7 PP: A few empty raids from both sides. Paltan doesn't want to commit too much and concede the game to Warriors in only the first half.

13' BW 13-6 PP: Bonus point from Maninder Singh.

12' BW 12-5 PP: Pankaj gets a touch point for Paltan.

10' BW 11-4 PP: Nabibakhsh with two touch pints and it's the first all-out of the evening! Warriors have coasted thus far...

9' BW 7-4 PP: Another big super tackle for Paltan! Prapanjan was pulled back by three defenders. Warriors ask for a review claim shirt pull. Review is successful. PThe shirt was pulled over Prapanjan and blinding him in the process.

7' BW 5-4 PP: Raider goes out fo points and two super tackle points for Paltan!

It's time for the second match of the evening...

40' TT 23-24 PP: Pardeep is taken down in the last raid of the match and it's super tackle points but it won't be enough for Thalaivas.. Pirates add another win to their kitty! The contest had seasoned raiders Rahul Chaudhari, Pardeep Narwal and Ajay Thakur but it was the defenders who shone through. Thalaivas slips to its second successive defeat of the season. Another close loss for them.

40' TT 21-24 PP: What a time to make an error! He steps in the lobbies. A small part of his heel!

40' TT 21-23 PP: Rahul gets another touch point. 50 seconds left on the clock.

39' TT 20-23 PP: Pardeep goes for the raid and he kills the time... Empty raid. Just a minute left on the clock.

39' TT 20-23 PP: Rahul gets a touch and he claims a bonus as awell! He wants the review and it's unsuccessful! Just a point and they lose the review.

39' TT 19-23 PP: Pirates ask for a review claiming Ran Singh had stepped out of bounds during Pardeep's raid. And it's successful! Replays show Ran was on the line! Bizarre decision! Thalaivas are irate as they are reduced to just two! Rahul gets a warning.

38' TT 19-22 PP: Ran Singh, you beauty! He gets a touch point with a toe-touch on the left corner!

Two minutes and 52 seconds left on the clock. Jaideep says let the Thaliavas have the bonus point and avoid gifting the opposition free points.

38' TT 18-22 PP: And Pardeep gets a crucial touch on Manjeet and it's advantage Pirates as we head into another time out!

37' TT 18-21 PP: And he returns to the bench! Hauled down at the left corner by Jaideeo, his 7th tackle point. Pardeep Narwal is revived.

Ajith Kumar is also introduced by TT.

Milad Sheibak makes his PKL season debut for Thaliavas.

34' TT 18-20 PP: Monu gets a touch on the face of Ajeet. Thalaivas ask for a review claiming there was no touch. Replays are inconclusive... But Thalaivas get a successful review! Crucial decision this as it helps Thalaivas keep three on the court and add Manjeet Chhillar! Monu had stepped to the lobbies that means its a super tackle points!

20' TT 11-11 PP: Empty raid from Thakur to end the half! A tantalising encounter thus far! Pardeep and Rahul have been unusually subdued with defence on top form thus far. When we come back, Thalaivas will have a do-or-die raid.

17' TT 10-7 PP: Esmaeil Magsoudlou fails on the do-or-die raid. Ran Singh locks the raider under the thigh.

15' TT 9-7 PP: Thakur gets a touch on Jaglan on the left corner.

14' TT 8-7 PP: Do-or-die raid and Pardeep fails! Manjeet makes the tackle first and Ran SIngh follows it up with a hug and pull down the mat!

12' TT 7-7 PP: Rahul is tackled down on the right side and it revives Pardeep!

11' TT 7-6 PP: Lee is tackled down again! Manjeet initiates the tackle and is well supported by his teammates!

11' TT 6-6 PP: Another error from Pirates, Jaideep steps out during Thalaivas' raid.

8' TT 5-6 PP: Oh dear! Pardeep steps into the lobby after getting a touch. So a point a piece for the sides.

7' TT 4-5 PP: Ajay Thakur is hauled down by Neerja Kumar coming from the right cover position!

6' TT 4-4 PP: Esmaeil Magsoudlou claims a touch point alongside a bonus point. Pirates ask for a review. He is right. Ran Singh stamps on his foot while the raider went for the bonus.

2' TT 2-0 PP: 'Iceman' Thakur with a touch point on the run on the right side of Pirates' defence.

1' TT 1-0 PP: Pardeep Narwal is taken down by an ankle grab by Manjeet Chhillar! He pounces at his feet!  Big statement from Manjeet!

1' TT 0-0 PP: Empty raid from Rahul.

'Showman' Rahul intently looks on and he goes for the first raid of the match.

FIRST HALF

6.50 pm: Chief raiders Rahul Chaudhari (16 raid points) and Pardeep Narwal (16 points) will hold the fortunes to both sides on the evening. Thalaivas' Manjeet Chhillar will be hoping to atone for his mistake right at the death which cost his side the maximum points against Delhi.

6.40 pm: First up it is the clash between the No. 7 (Tamil Thalaivas) and No. 8 (Patna Pirates) sides in the points table. Both teams have identical records although Pirates is coming off a win while Thalaivas was condemned to a nail-biting loss against Dabang Delhi.
