Gurdeep Singh of RSPB busted three national records en route his gold medal in the +105kg category on the final day of the 70th men’s Senior National Weightlifting Championships, here on Thursday.

While Gurdeep won the gold, his RSPB teammate Himanshu Chang and Jaspreet Singh of Punjab bagged the silver and bronze medals respectively in this weight category.

Besides Chandrakant Mali of SSCB won gold medal in 105kg weight category by lifting a total weight of 345kg.

Haryana duo of Vishal Soni and Sahil Sharma won the silver and bronze respectively in the 105kg weight category.

In the concluding day of the 33rd women’s Senior National Weightlifting Championships, P M Kanchan of Karnatala clinched the gold medal in the +90kg weight category.

The silver in this category went to RSPB’s Monica while K Siromani of Andhra Pradesh won the bronze.
