Khelo India: Haryana in line for title in three events

Chandigarh got past Kerala in the U-21 boys semifinal and will face the winner of the Tamil Nadu-Uttar Pradesh tie.

Haryana has reached three of the four kabaddi finals at the Khelo India Youth Games 2019, conducted at the Balewadi Sports Complex here. Knocked out in the league phase in boys U-21 category, the team is in line for the title in three other events.

The girls U-17 semifinal between Haryana and Bengal started with a Super Raid by Mini for the former and skipper Anupriya Sube managed a Super 10 as her team won by a massive 36-point margin.

Chhattisgarh won the second semifinals, beating Uttar Pradesh by just three points.

Chandigarh got past Kerala in the U-21 boys semifinal and will face the winner of the Tamil Nadu-Uttar Pradesh tie.

The results (semifinals):

Girls U-17: Haryana bt Bengal 48-13; Chhattisgarh bt Uttar Pradesh 22-19. U-21: Haryana bt UP 32-26; Himachal Pradesh bt Maharashtra 22-19.

Boys U-17: Chhattisgarh bt Rajasthan 29-27; Haryana bt Delhi 44-37. U-21: Chandigarh bt Kerala 37-27.
