Pro Kabaddi: Bengal hand Bengaluru second straight home loss

Bengal trailed 12-13 at the interval, but returned with vigour to relegate its rival to a second-straight loss at home.

Bengal Warriors have two wins in as many fixtures, while Bengaluru Bulls have just the one in three attempts.

A tremendous second-half performance gave Bengal Warriors a 34-24 victory over Bengaluru Bulls in the ProKabaddi League here on Thursday.

Bengal trailed 12-13 at the interval, but returned with vigour to relegate its rival to a second-straight loss at home. This comeback script was not apparent in the first few minutes after the restart, as it was Bengaluru which jumped to a 20-16 advantage.

From here, it was a see-saw battle to capture the all-important 'lona'.

Slowly but surely, Bengal picked off the Bengaluru raiders and defenders, before finally gaining the all-out. This allowed Bengal to move ahead on the scoreboard, to 22-20.

With around five minutes to go, visiting South Korean import Jang Kun Lee recorded a double touch on a raid, and it was curtains for Bengaluru. The impressive Lee (11 points) was ably supported by Nitin Tomar, who contributed seven points.

Bengal now has two wins in as many fixtures, while Bengaluru has just the one victory in three attempts.
