Tamil Nadu teenager S. Shrikrishna progressed to the round-of-16 in the Senior National men’s billiards championship, with a 150-29, 150-58, 151-122 victory over Durga Prasad at KSBA here on Friday.
Shrikrishna, 17, recorded breaks of 106 and 72 to take out his opponent. Shrikrishna, who claimed all four titles on offer in the recent sub-junior and junior boys’ billiards and snooker championship, will take on B. Bhaskar in the next round.
In another match, Pankaj Advani whipped Tamil Nadu’s D. Bhuvaneswaran 151-32, 151-7, 150-10. Advani dominated proceedings, with breaks of 94, 151 and 92. The dream run of qualifier Bhuvaneswaran – an active, certified cue sports referee – came to an end.
