Wrestlers top the list of 12 athletes who have tested positive for banned substances during the Khelo India School Games, which was held at five venues in Delhi from January 31 to February 8.

The list includes four wrestlers, three boxers, two athletes and one each from judo, gymnastics and volleyball.

Altogether 377 samples were collected by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) during the under-17 Games.

Of the 12 athletes who failed the dope tests, 10 have returned positive results for specified substances, including eight for furosemide and two for terbutaline.

The judoka and a boxer, who have tested positive for non-specified substances mephentermine and stanozolol respectively, have been handed provisional suspension.
