Wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Babita Phogat, and former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh are among the candidates picked by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to contest the Haryana assembly elections.

Their names were in the list of 78 candidates the BJP released for the October 21 polls in Haryana.

Phogat, Singh, and Olympic bronze medallist Dutt, will contest from Dadri, Pehowa, and Baroda, respectively, the party's national general secretary Arun Singh told reporters in Delhi.
