Saurav Ghosal's run ended quite abruptly with the former finalist James defeating him 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 in a second round match.

Indian ace Saurav Ghosal bowed out of the world men's squash championship after going down to England's James Willstrop in the second round in Washington here.

Ghosal's run ended quite abruptly with the former finalist James defeating him 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 in a second round match late last night.

The two are stablemates, having trained a lot together in Leeds but in their eight meetings earlier James had never let his grip slip.

On this occasion, the Englishman showed he knew his Ghosal's game lot closer to carve his victory route, though it was a fight all the way.

James is ranked 24th while Ghosal was 17th but the difference in ranking mattered little as early leads helped James' cause. Also, Saurav slipped into too many unforced errors during the match which lasted little over 40 minutes.
