Gukesh finishes joint second at HD Bank International tournament

D. Gukesh, India's youngest Grandmaster and the U-12 Open world champion, finished joint second in the HD Bank International chess tournament, which concluded in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietman on Wednesday.

Gukesh, who defeated grandmasters Anton Demchenko and Susanto Megaranto in the tournament, finished with seven points from nine rounds to be placed second with Ukraine's GM Stanislav Bogdanovich and China's Wen Yang.

GM Wang Ho of China clinched the title with 7.5 points.
