Good morning, welcome to Sportstar's live blog of day six of Commonwealth Games 2018.

 

5.24 pm: Anas finishes fourth with a time of 45.31s in the 400m final, breaking his national record. Botswana's Isaac Makwala takes gold.

5.18 pm: Muhammed Anas in action in 400m men's final.

5.15 pm: Hima Das has made it to the final of the women's 400m. She clocked her personal best time of 51.53s. Hima qualifies as the second fastest loser and the seventh fastest overall.

5.00 pm: Bronze in para powerlifting! Sachin Chaudhary finishes third in the heavyweight division.

4.49 pm: Satish Kumar beats Trinidad and Tobago's Nigel Paul 4-1 to progress into the semis. That's five out of five wins for Indian boxers in their quarterfinal fights today.

4:35 pm: Satish Kumar's 91-kg quarterfinal boxing bout is underway.

4.25 pm: India defeats South Africa 1-0 and is through to the semifinals!

4.22 pm: Joshna Chinappa and Harinder Pal Sandhu defeat Cayman Island's Caroline Laing and Jacob Kelly 2-0 in mixed doubles pool H match.

4:22 pm: The decision has been overturned.

4.20 pm: Penalty corner awarded to South Africa and India has reviewed the decision.

4.18 pm: Manoj Kumar defeats terry Nickolas 4-1 to enter the semifinals!

4:10 pm: India's skipper Rani Rampal opens the scoring in the fourth quarter! Vandana Kataria with the through ball before Rampal swivels and squeezes it in.

3:50 pm: India's Manoj Kumar takes on Australia's Terry Nickolas in the men's boxing 69-kg quarterfinal.

3:37 pm: Its 0-0 at the end of the second quarter between India women and South Africa women.

3.25 pm: India's Saurav Ghosal and Dipika Pallikal ahve defeated Pakistan's Zafar-Aslam 2-0 (11-2, 11-3) in the mixed doubles group match. They know move to the round-of-16 stage.

3.20 pm: India women's hockey team's Group B match against South Africa is underway.

3.16 pm: Hussamuddin confirms himself a medal after he won the 56-kg quarterfinal bout against Everisto Mulenga.

1:53 pm: Hussamuddin Mohammed of India is taking on Zambia's Everisto Mulenga in the quarterfinal of men's 56kg boxing.

1:40 pm: Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal are set to take on the Pakistani duo of Madina Zaffar and Tayyab Aslam in a pool E mixed doubles squash match.

12:25 pm: Maitreye Sarkar loses to Australia's Melissa Tapper 11-3 11-1 11-3 in game one of the women's TT6-10 singles.

12:18 pm: India's Sakina Khatun finishes fifth in women's para powerlifting.

Here's how the latest Commonwealth Games medal table stands with Heena Sidhu winning India's 11th gold:

11:24 am: GOLD for Heena Sidhu and India! She finishes first with a score of 38 in the women's 25m air pistol final, to seal the gold! This now is India's 11th gold medal at Gold Coast 2018.

11:22 am: Naman Tanwar assures himself and India of a medal by progressing to the semifinals of the men's 91kg boxing with a 5-0 win over Samoa's Frank Masoe.

11:20 am: Heena Sidhu assures India of a medal in the women's 25m air pistol.

11:15 am: Annu Singh finishes sixth in the women's 25m air pistol final.

10:30 am: In the para women's powerlifting event, Sakina Khatun of India lifts 82kg in her first lift, which takes her to second place.

10:25 am: Naman Tanwar is set to take on Frank Masoe of Samoa in the men's 91kg boxing quarterfinal match.

9:43 am: Amit Panghal beats Aqeel Ahmed to move into the semifinals of the men's 46-49kg boxing. He has now assured himself and India of a medal.

9:32 am: Amit Panghal is taking on Scotland's Aqeel Ahmed in the quarterfinal of men's 46-49kg boxing.

9:25 am: Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal have just beaten the Guyanese pair of Mary Fung-a-Fat and Jason-Ray Khail, doing just in just a quarter of an hour.

9:15 am: Wales' David Phelps secures gold medal in men's 50m air rifle, with Neil Stirton of Scotland and Kenneth Parr of England taking silver and bronze respectively.

8:55 am: Chain Singh finishes fourth in the men's 50m air rifle prone on his Commonwealth Games debut.

8:45 am: Gagan Narang finishes seventh in the final of men's 50m air rifle prone. Chain Singh, who is currently second, is still in the running for a medal.

Here's the schedule for day six of the Games.

The Indian men's hockey team has progressed to the semifinals after beating Malaysia 2-1. Harmapreet Singh scored both the goals for India.

On the shooting front, Annu Singh and Heena Sidhu have reached the final of the women's 25m air rifle. The final is set to take place at 11am IST.
