The Delhi team will be bolstered by the presence of India internationals Ishant Sharma and veteran Gautam Gambhir against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy match, starting on Thursday at the Eden Gardens.

Ishant was ruled out of the New Zealand Test series due to chikungunya while Gambhir was busy on national duty.
“Ishant and Gambhir will be playing in this match,” said chief coach K. P. Bhaskar.

Ishant’s fitness will be tested and Gambhir will like to reassert his place in the side as reserve opener in place of Shikhar Dhawan.
Gambhir replaced Dhawan in playing XI at Indore scoring a second innings half century on the best batting strip in the series.
