Rigorous bidding saw England all-rounder Ben Stokes getting sold to Rising Pune Supergiants for a massive Rs. 14.50 crore on Monday at the IPL Auction.

Stokes have become a prolific all-rounder for England in recent times. He was named the vice-captain of the Test side few days back.

Pune's available purse this morning was only Rs. 17.5 crore.

Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and RPS were all willing to exhaust nearly all of their purse in the pursuit of Stokes.

Akshdeep Nath sold to Gujarat Lions for Rs. 10 lakh.

Kolkata Knight Riders buys Darren Bravo for Rs. 50 lakh.

Manoj Tiwary goes to Rising Pune Supergiants for Rs. 50 lakh.

RPS also bought Jaydev Unadkat for Rs. 30,00,000.

Kolkata Knight Riders buys R. Sanjay Yadav for Rs. 10 lakh.

Ishank Jaggi sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 10 lakh.

Gujarat Lions buys Pratham Singh for Rs. 10 lakh.

Shashank Singh goes to Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 10 lakh.

Shelley Shaurya sold to Gujarat Lions for Rs. 10 lakh.

Shubham Agarwal follows Shelley Shaurya to Gujarat Lions for Rs. 10 lakh.

Rinku Singh sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 10 lakh.

Gujarat Lions buys Chirag Suri for 10 lakh.

England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan was the first player to be sold on Monday at the IPL Auction. Kings XI Punjab bought the experienced limited-overs batsman for Rs. 2,00,00,000. Morgan played for Sunrisers Hyderabad last season.

Youngest player to have played in the Caribbean Premier League, Nicholas Pooran, was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 30,00,000.

Rising Pune Supergiants buys 17-year-old Rahul Chahar.

Sri Lanka's Asela Gunaratne went to Mumbai Indians for Rs. 30 lakh.

Kings XI Punjab buys Darren Sammy for 30 lakh.

In wicketkeepers set, Ben Dunk, Andre Fletcher, Johnson Charles and Dinesh Chandimal went unsold.

Jonny Bairstow also went unsold. "He's no longer a friend of Ben Stokes," joked Richard Madley.

Delhi Daredevils bought Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews for Rs. 2,00,00,000 in the capped all-rounders set.

Pawan Negi was the first capped all-rounder to be sold. RCB bought Negi for Rs. 1,00,00,000.

Corey Anderson was sold to Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 1,00,00,000.

Martin Guptill was sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 50,00,000.

Gujarat Lions bought Jason Roy for Rs. 1,00,00,000.

Mumbai Indians bought Saurabh Tiwary for Rs. 30,00,000.

Rising Pune Supergiants buys Daniel Christian for 1 crore.
