Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a must-win IPL tie at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, here, on Saturday. A win in this tie would see KKR through to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, KKK chief coach Jacques Kallis warned that KKR would need to play good cricket to be SRH, rather than expecting any favours from the side, which has already qualified for the playoffs.

“We don’t expect any favours from them. We have to play good cricket to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad,” feels Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) chief coach Jacques Kallis, on the eve of the match, here, on Friday.

“For us, it is just another game of cricket. The guys know their roles. It is just a matter of doing your job, trusting the process and hoping to come off with a little bit of luck. We need a combination of both,” Kallis said, on the big match, on Saturday.

“The biggest gain from the last game for us was the way we came back from after Rajasthan Royals (RR) scored 59 in the first four overs. Our guys stuck in and that is indicative of the side, and the way our boys got down to business really well,” he said.

“Well, it is the kind of format which throws up such situations where quite a few teams have a chance to make it to the playoffs, making the last two games crucial. Every team is pretty much of equal strength. That’s nice for the competition as anyone can beat anyone. Keeps the interest in the League and that is fantastic,” he said.

On AB de Villiers’s stunning catch against Sunrisers the other night, Kallis said that he had not seen, but a lot of people had been talking about it. "Ït must have been extraordinary,” he said.
