Both the batsmen have got off to a good start in IPL 2018.

Brendon McCullum is now a retired international cricketer and Karun Nair, who last played for India in March 2017 is looking to stage a return on the back of solid show in domestic circuit and now the IPL.

McCullum is naturally an attacking batsman but Nair can be a dasher too when the situation demands, having the ability to play an array of strokes. The Karnataka batsman, the second Indian to have scored a triple hundred in Tests after Virender Sehwag would be hopeful of scoring heavily in the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Nair has started off well by scoring a fifty in Kings XI Punjab's opener against Delhi Daredevils. McCullum also was among the runs in Royal Challegers Bangalore's first game, which it lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. The former New Zealand captain scored a 27-ball 43, which included two sixes and six boundaries.

Playing now in his sixth edition of IPL, Nair has scored 1208 runs at a strike-rate of 127.83 which include nine fifties. However, McCullum is an IPL veteran having played in all seasons and being the first batsman to score a century in the very first match of the tournament.

The fortunes of RCB and KXIP in this season will depend on the batting form of both the right-handed batsmen.
