For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Wednesday’s victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore is special for more reasons than one. A comprehensive victory against RCB has not only given the David Warner-led side a winning start to the tournament, but it has also given the team the confidence that its star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is in prime form.

On a day when the swashbuckling batsman smashed 62 in 27 deliveries, one can’t afford to pick anyone else as the player of the match. While Yuvraj toyed with the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers, he also made it a point to ensure that his side suffered no slip-ups in the game. He took the field at a time when Hyderabad had lost two quick wickets, and things could have gone wrong.

Yuvraj, however, was lucky enough in the beginning as he was dropped by S. Aravind at deep square-leg off Aniket Choudhary. That apart, it was a flawless and flamboyant innings, which helped the Sunrisers pull off a rather comprehensive victory early in the tournament.

While his blitzkrieg reminded one of his heydays, Yuvraj’s new spunky hairdo has also turned many heads!
