Rahil Shah claimed five for 54 to help TNCA President’s XI dismiss Assam for 176 on day one of the third round of the Kalpathi AGS Buchi Babu all-India cricket tournament here.

Ryan Parag (65, 96b, 8x4, 2x6) and Abhishek Thakuri (55, 139b, 7x4) put on 80 runs for the third wicket for Assam.

Tanmay Agarwal (82, 141b, 10x4, 1x6) and Akshath Reddy (67, 87b, 9x4, 2x6) added 126 runs for the first- wicket partnership, and K. Sumanth hit an unbeaten 103 (150b, 10x4, 1x6), as Hyderabad posted 354 for nine against TNCA XI at the SRMC (turf) ground.

Left-arm spinner R. Aushik Srinivas starred with the ball (five for 103) for TNCA XI. Dharmendra Jadeja, who came in at No. 9, hit an unbeaten 53 and added 58 runs for the last wicket with Vandit Jivranjani (12) as Saurashtra ran up 296 versus TNCA Districts XI at the Murugappa ground.

A 98-run first wicket partnership between Rishabh Choubey (70, 141b, 11x4, 1x6) and Aishwarya Marya (34), and a 128-run third wicket stand between Avnish Dhaliwal (64, 137b, 10x4) and Amandeep Khare (92, 110b, 11x4, 1x6), took Chhattisgarh to 350 for eight versus Mumbai at the SSN college ground.
