The passengers at the Chennai International Airport were in for some surprise on Monday morning. The security cover was unusually high and there was a big gathering at one corner of the lounge.

So, what was it?

A closer look had an interesting tale to tell. As the passengers sneaked in, they could see Mahendra Singh Dhoni lying down on the floor while Virat Kohli and K.L. Rahul sat beside the erstwhile skipper.

After a thumping win against Australia on Sunday, the Indian players were on their way to Kolkata for the second ODI, and as they waited for the flight, Dhoni perhaps decided to take a quick nap.

The BCCI also put out a tweet posting a couple of pictures of the team waiting at the airport. The post read: “That is how you relax after taking a 1-0 lead. #TeamIndia #INDvAUS.”

Teams arrive in Kolkata

Both India and Australia landed in Kolkata on Monday afternoon for the second ODI at the Eden Gardens on Thursday. Dressed in white T-shirts, the Men in Blue looked relaxed as they headed straight to the team hotel along with their support staff and chief coach Ravi Shastri.

“There’s no practice schedule today and everyone will be resting,” the local Team India manager said at the airport after both the teams landed via a chartered flight at 3.30pm.
