The Indian women’s football team slipped to a 1-5 defeat at the hands of Morocco in the COTIF Cup on Sunday in Valencia, Spain.

In a relatively dull first half where both teams failed to sizzle, it was the Indian side which scored the opening goal of the evening. Santhiya latched onto an Umapati Devi cross in the 42nd minute and bundled it home to put the Indians ahead.
