India colts manage a draw against Iraq

India was held to a goalless draw by defending Asian champion Iraq in the AFC U-16 championship qualifiers in Kathmandu on Sunday.

India was held to a goalless draw by defending Asian champion Iraq in the AFC U-16 championship qualifiers in Kathmandu on Sunday.

With the draw, India remained unbeaten in the tournament with five points from three games.

India, will however, need to wait to for the other group-stage encounters to get over too see whether it has made it to the finals.

Iraq, on the other hand, has made it to the finals with seven points from three games.

The Indians played with more purpose even as the Iraqis relied on their physical superiority to seize it in the midfield.
