The second edition of the Indian Women’s League saw Gokulam Kerala, going head to head against India Rush in a hard-fought encounter, as both the teams settled for a goalless draw, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, on Friday.
For Gokulam, forward Ikwaput Fazila dominated as she cruised past the India Rush defence with ease, but failed to score as her shot was saved by the keeper in the sixth minute.
Fazila had another really good chance in the 20th minute to score, with the India Rush goalkeeper way out of her zone to clear the ball, as she failed to get a touch. However, with the ball in possession of Fazila, she shot the ball wide of an open goal from 30 yards out.

The 34th minute saw Fazila put the ball at the back of the net, courtesy of some brilliant gameplay, only to be ruled out as a foul on one of the opponents and the goal was ruled out.
As the teams went goalless into the half-time, the second half saw an aggressive display from both the sides. However, none of them could find the opening goal.
The most realistic chance came in the 71st minute for Gokulam, off a free-kick from the edge of the penalty box, only to be shot wide, as the teams settled goalless at the referee's full-time whistle, while both the sided shared a point each.
