ISL 2017: Chennaiyin FC set to camp in Thailand

Chennaiyin FC — the 2015 ISL champions — is set to travel to Thailand for a three-week pre-season camp from Wednesday.

The players will depart from Chennai in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Their training base will be at True Arena, Hua Hin, which is 125 miles away from the capital Bangkok.

Chennayin FC started their pre-season preparations at SDAT Nehru Park from Monday. Twenty six players, including all eight foreigners, trained for 10 days in Chennai under the watchful eyes of head coach John Gregory.

However, Chennaiyin FC is likely to play four friendly matches. They will return to India on November 2. They will start the ISL fixture at home against FC Goa on November 19.
