Kerela Blasters' Iain Hume made history on Wednesday night as he became the first man to score three hat-tricks in the Indian Super League. Hume scored all the goals in Kerala's 3-1 win over Delhi Dynamos, giving his side a much-needed win.

The Canadian is the most successful striker in the short history of the ISL, having scored 26 goals in 54 games. He played an instrumental role and helped the Blasters reach the final in 2014, with five goals and three assists.

The following year saw him move to ATK, where he netted an impressive 11 goals, including two fine hat-tricks. He continued his fine form the next season and scored seven crucial goals, leading ATK to the ISL trophy in 2016.

Hume returned to don the Blasters' yellow jersey this season, but the team -- which finished runner-up last season -- has endured a poor start to its campaign. The side has secured only two victories in nine games and as the league reaches the halfway mark, it sits on the sixth spot with 11 points from nine games. The side has struggled for goals so far, having scored a mere 10 goals so far.

Kerala Blasters has Bulgarian star striker Dimitar Berbatov -- who has played key roles with English giants Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United -- who has been played in a midfield role so far and is yet to get on the scoresheet.

However, now with Hume getting back to scoring ways, things are looking up for the Yellow Army.
