Hero Motocorp on Tuesday announced the extension of its association with Tiger Woods as the ‘Global Corporate Partner’ for another four years.

Hero’s Chairman Pawan Munjal made the announcement two days ahead of the 20th edition of the Hero World Challenge which brings together an invitational field of 18 players at this year ending event. Recently, Hero extended its sponsorship of the $3.5 million till 2021.

“I’m ecstatic to have a partner like Hero which is a global company,” said Tiger during a chat with the Indian media on Tuesday.

“Pawan has a clear vision for not just the future of global mobility, but also the growth of golf and I am glad to be a part of it.”

Elaborating on the decision, Mr. Munjal said, “I always knew during the course of the past four years that we were going to extend this association with Tiger. It’s working very well for both of us and for golf, in India and other countries where Hero has gone in with its products. And I can’t say when, but Tiger is surely coming back to India.”

To this, Tiger nodded in agreement and said, “I’ll be back.”
