Gaurika Bishnoi claimed a one-stroke lead as Leg 7 of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour commenced at the Eagleton Golf Resort here on Wednesday. The 18-year-old from Rohtak shot an even-par 72, making three bogeys and three birdies along the way, to claim a narrow advantage after the first round. The amateur Ankita Kedlaya seemed poised to end the day on top before dropping three shots on the final two holes, with a double bogey on the 18th. She was in second, with Pranavi Urs, another amateur, one stroke further behind (74).
There was a three-way tie for fourth, involving Saaniya Sharma, Tvesa Malik and Ayesha Kapur (75). Sharmila Nicollet (76) was joint seventh, alongside Gursimar Badwal and Smriti Mehra.
