The 93rd edition of All-India Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey tournament will be played between August 29 and September 8 at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.
The Madras Cricket Club and The Hindu will play an exhibition match on August 28 before the tournament officially starts.
Former India captain Mohammed Riaz might play for MCC in the exhibition match.
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is the defending champion, having won 4-0 against the Indian Railways in last year's final.
