It will be a battle between the two skippers, Ajay Thakur and Pardeep Narwal. Thakur produced 222 points in an underwhelming season in 2017 for the Thalaivas while Pardeep topped the charts with a stunning 369 points.
The teams, Tamil Thalaivas and Patna Pirates, are out for the #PKL6 opener. Ajay Thakur looks pumped as the home team is cheered on by a full house.

The PKL is back! We are just minutes away from kick-starting the sixth season of what could be an action-packed four months. The first leg of the new season will take place in Chennai — the home of the Tamil Thalaivas. Thalaivas, who finished last in their Group B qualifying last season will begin proceedings against defending champion Patna Pirates at the Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium.
