Sakshi's road to bronze medal

Sakshi defeated Johanna Mattsson of Sweden 3-1 in the qualifications round to secure a place in the Round of 16.

In the Round of 16 Sakshi faced Mariana Cherdivara of Moldova. The Haryana-based wrestler beat her opponent 3-1.

Sakshi lost her quarter-final bout against Russia's Valeriia Koblova Zholobova. But since the latter reached the final, Sakshi was handed an opportunity to fight for bronze.

Sakshi beat Mongolian wrestler Orkhon Purevdorj 3-1 in her Repechage round.

In the bronze medal match, Sakshi overcame Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan 3-1 to clinch the country's first medal at the Rio Games.
