Archery World Cup: Abhishek Verma, Divya Dhayal bow out in semifinals

The Indian duo lose to Chen Yi-Hsuan and Chen Hsiang-Hsuan in the Compound Mixed Team event.

India’s Abhishek Verma and Divya Dhayal were defeated by Chinese Taipei in the semifinals of the Compound Mixed Team event in the Archery World Cup in Antalya. The duo lost 155-152 to Chen Yi-Hsuan and Chen Hsiang-Hsuan, after four rounds. They will take on Italy in the Compound Mixed Team bronze final.

Verma and Dhayal had earlier defeated Turkey 157-155 in the quarterfinal.

India’s recurve mixed team of Deepika Kumari and Dhaniram Basumatary exited in the first round with a 6-0 loss to Belarus.
