Viktor Axelsen of Denmark defeated Tian H. of China in three sets 21-14, 6-21 and 21-17 to clinch the men's final of World Superseries finals today in Dubai.
Axelsen looked impressive from the beginning as he dominated the first half of the first set, taking it comfortably 21-14, but had to fight hard in the third set after Tian H. made a strong comeback in the second set, winning it by a huge 15-point margin.
In the women's final of World Superseries, Tai T.Y. of Taipei recorded an easy win over Korea's Sung J.H. in straight sets by outplaying the Korean 21-13, 21-14.
Goh S. and Tan W.K. defeated the pair of Kamura T. and Sonoda K. in straight sets 21-14 and 21-19 grabbing the Superseries title in men's doubles final.
Whereas, Chen Q. and Jia Y. came victorious in women's doubles final after defeating Matsutomo M. and Takahashi A. in three sets 21-15, 13-21 and 21-17 during a hard-fought encounter.
In the mixed doubles final of the World Superseries, Zheng S. and Chen Q. tasted glory as they overcame the British pair, Adcock C. and Adcock G., in straight sets with a score of 21-12, 21-12.
