India loses to Chinese Taipei in Asia U-18 c'ship

After losing to defending champions China, India had another tough outing as it went down to Chinese Taipei 93-79 in the 24th FIBA Asia under-18 men’s championship in Tehran on Sunday.

Though India only had a three-point deficit going into the second quarter, Chinese Taipei widened the lead over the second and third quarters.

India will meet Iraq in the penultimate round robin match on Tuesday and a win against Iraq will keep India in the race for a quarterfinals spot.

Results: Chinese Taipei 93 (K. Kao 16, S. Ting 16) bt India 79 (H. Raghupathy 21, V. Gupta 20).
