LeBron James and Dwyane Wade entered Monday night knotted at 15-15 in head-to-head matchups and in the end it was James' Lakers that prevailed 108-105.

The close friends are both just over a quarter of the way into their 16th professional seasons. The two future Hall of Famers won two championships together and it's unlikely they'll ever play against each other again, at least as NBA players.

Wade decided to have "one last dance" with Miami this year, playing for the team that drafted him back in 2003. James is still going strong in year 16, and his last battle with his friend was close all the way to the very end.

James recorded 28 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists in the contest. Kyle Kuzma chipped in 33 points in the Lakers' win.

Wade was ice cold to start and missed his first five field goals. He finished with 15 points on 6-of-19 shooting.

Justise Winslow ended up being the driving force that kept the Heat in the game. He finished with a career-high 28 points. While Wade wasn't at his best, the Staples Center cheered him on to celebrate the end of his successful career.
