Bangar, Abhay Sharma appointed assistant coaches

A press release from Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Ajay Shirke confirmed that the appointment was made after consulting Kumble. Bangar and Sharma will be India's batting and fielding coaches, respectively.

Former cricketers Sanjay Bangar and Abhay Sharma will assist India's head coach Anil Kumble when the team travels to West Indies for a four Test series.

A press release from Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Ajay Shirke confirmed that the appointment was made after consulting Kumble. Bangar and Sharma will be India's batting and fielding coaches, respectively.

Bangar was the head coach of Indian team that recently won the ODI and T20I series in Zimbabwe. And, Sharma was the head coach of India 'A' before Rahul Dravid took over.
