Shakib Al Hasan is set to return from injury to lead Bangladesh in next week's Twenty20 internationals against Sri Lanka.

All-rounder Shakib was ruled out of the Test series between the two sides after suffering a finger injury in the preceding one-day internationals.

However, on Saturday, he was named as captain of a 15-man squad for the first T20 on Thursday.

A much-changed Bangladesh squad also features five uncapped players - Abu Jayed, Ariful Haque, Mahedi Hasan, Zakir Hasan and Afif Hossain.

Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman return after missing their side's last T20 matches, against South Africa in October, through injury.

The likes of Imrul Kayes, Liton Das, Mominul Haque and Nasir Hossain have all been dropped.
