Seasoned batsmen Anustup Majumdar and Debabrata Das along with Sudip Chatterjee, who was out of action due to a finger injury, have made a comeback to the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Group C one-day matches to be held in Chennai from February 25 to March 6.
Majumdar, 32, who last donned the Bengal colours in the 2012-13 season before switching to Railways, has now opted to play for his home state. Debabrata, who picked up a hamstring injury during the East Zone T20 league matches, has recovered for the one-dayers.
Talented left-handed batsman Sudip, who had missed the T20 league due to the finger injury, was also fit. Bengal will miss the services of Wriddhiman Saha as the leading wicketkeeper-batsman will do the National duty in the upcoming Test series against Australia.
According to Bengal coach Sairaj Bahutule, the preparatory camp will start from Saturday. The team will play a practice match against Calcutta Cricket and Football Club on February 21 before moving to Chennai.
