The BCCI's Selection Committee on Monday named Shikhar Dhawan as the replacement for injured Murali Vijay in the Test squad for the tour of Sri Lanka.

The BCCI's Selection Committee on Monday named Shikhar Dhawan as the replacement for injured Murali Vijay in the Test squad for the tour of Sri Lanka. India will play a three-match Test series starting July 21.

Vijay suffered a wrist injury during Australia’s tour of India and "has complained of pain in his right wrist while playing a preparatory match", read the BCCI's press release.

The BCCI medical team has advised Vijay to continue his rehabilitation program.
